Dubai’s Al Qusais witnessed a grand gathering on Saturday as the ‘Sahebaan UAE’ community hosted a ‘Family Get-Together’ at the Amity School grounds. The event became even more special when Karkala’s internationally renowned businessman and super bike racing champion, Nasir Syed, was honored with the prestigious ‘Sahebaan Sports Excellence Award’ in recognition of his remarkable achievements in the world of racing. The award was presented to him by prominent community leaders and entrepreneurs, making it a moment of pride not just for Nasir Syed but for the entire Sahebaan community.

Among the dignitaries who graced the occasion were well-known businessman and chairman of the Hidayath Group, Hidayathulla Abbas, and another distinguished entrepreneur and social worker, K.S. Nisar Ahmed, who owns Nash Engineering in Dubai. The event was also attended by H.M. Afroz Assadi, the director of Sahebaan UAE. They collectively presented the award to Nasir Syed, applauding his exceptional contributions to the sport of super bike racing and his entrepreneurial success.
Expressing his gratitude after receiving the award, Nasir Syed shared his joy and pride in being recognized by his own community. He mentioned that while he had won numerous international super bike racing championships, this particular recognition from the Sahebaan community held special meaning for him. He also expressed his admiration for community leaders like Hidayathulla Abbas and Nisar Ahmed, stating that they had been a source of inspiration for many. He further emphasized how this platform had brought a unique honor to Karkala, his hometown, making the moment even more significant.

Nasir Syed’s journey in the UAE is nothing short of inspiring. While many choose to settle into secure jobs in the Gulf, he decided to take a different path by establishing his own business, overcoming several challenges along the way. His early years in entrepreneurship were filled with obstacles, but his resilience and determination helped him carve a niche for himself in the scaffolding industry. In the early 2000s, he took the bold step of launching his own company despite the numerous difficulties involved in starting a business in a foreign land. However, his unwavering commitment, exceptional customer service, innovative approach, and dedication to quality soon set him apart from the competition. By 2005, his business witnessed a major breakthrough, attracting large-scale clients and gaining a strong foothold in the UAE market.

From that point on, there was no looking back for Nasir Syed. Step by step, he expanded his business empire, which today provides employment to over two hundred individuals. Over the years, he successfully established multiple companies, including CHS Creative House, which has emerged as a leading firm in scaffolding and formwork across the UAE. Another of his ventures, VME Valves Factory LLC, has gained recognition in the field of industrial valve manufacturing, while Creative House Events has become a prominent name in event management, organizing world-class gatherings. His most notable contribution, however, has been in the field of motorsports. He founded DSBK – D Super Bike Racing, a company dedicated to organizing international super bike racing events, taking his passion for the sport to a whole new level.

Nasir Syed’s love for sports goes back to his younger days when he actively participated in cricket, football, and badminton during his school and college years. However, it was super bike racing that truly captivated him. Unlike many who admire the sport from a distance, he immersed himself in it, training rigorously and eventually competing in professional races. His entry into the international racing circuit was marked by sheer determination, and he soon established himself as a formidable competitor. Over time, he went on to secure championship titles in thirty-eight professional super bike racing competitions. His achievements include noteworthy performances in the UAE National Championship as well as the Bahrain Super Bike Championship, where he garnered widespread attention for his skill and speed.

With his experience and success in the international arena, Nasir Syed is now focused on expanding the sport beyond its traditional strongholds in Europe. He has taken the ambitious step of bringing professional super bike racing to Dubai and India, an endeavor that requires both vision and courage. His company, DSBK – D Super Bike Racing, has already begun organizing races, creating a dedicated platform that brings together racers, enthusiasts, and prestigious brands under one roof. This initiative is expected to transform the motorsports scene in the region and provide a significant boost to aspiring super bike racers.
Behind his extraordinary journey stands a strong pillar of support—his wife, Anila Nasir, who has stood by him through his business ventures and sporting endeavors. Their son, Abdul Sami, is following in his father’s footsteps and is already making a name for himself as a rising super bike racer. Their younger son, Yahya Nasir, and daughters, Hana Nasir and Rid Nasir, complete their close-knit and supportive family.

Apart from excelling in business and sports, Nasir Syed is also deeply committed to social causes. He actively contributes to various community welfare initiatives, particularly in the areas of education and healthcare. His efforts in helping the underprivileged and supporting numerous philanthropic activities have earned him admiration beyond the racing tracks and boardrooms.
