Abu Dhabi: A delegation from AIM India Forum met Dr Deepak Mittal, Ambassador of India to the United Arab Emirates, at the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi.
The meeting was introductory and focused on coordination between AIM India Forum and the Embassy.
The delegation was led by Shirali Shaikh Muzaffer, Founder President of AIM India Forum. He briefed the Ambassador about the organisation’s vision, objectives and its formation.
The delegation included Shirali Shaikh Muzaffer, Founder President; Mohammed Niyaz, Vice President; Mohammed Azeem, Convener; and Manish Kumar, Secretary, Labour Affairs.
Before the meeting, the Ambassador had been briefed about the forum’s activities by Gorgey George, First Secretary (Community Affairs), Embassy of India, Abu Dhabi.
During the interaction, the delegation explained the work carried out by AIM India Forum for the welfare of the Indian community in the UAE. These include labour awareness camps and educational sessions, repatriation support for distressed individuals, financial literacy programmes, assistance during crisis situations, and guidance related to legal and documentation matters.
Shirali Shaikh Muzaffer said the organisation was formed to serve the community through coordinated efforts and structured support systems.
The delegation also conveyed appreciation to the leadership and authorities of the UAE for their support to expatriate communities and for ensuring legal protection and access to justice for workers.
Dr Deepak Mittal appreciated the services rendered by AIM India Forum and acknowledged its work in labour awareness and humanitarian assistance. He conveyed his best wishes to the team and assured cooperation from the Embassy of India and the Consulate in future initiatives aimed at supporting the Indian community in the UAE.
The delegation thanked the Ambassador for his time and support. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to work for the welfare of the Indian diaspora in the United Arab Emirates.
