Jeddah, February 2025: The Karnataka NRI Forum Jeddah held its 16th Annual General Body Meeting on February 6, 2025, electing a new executive committee for the term 2025-2026. The meeting, attended by forum members and guests, focused on reviewing the past year’s activities and electing new office bearers.

Raza Ali Khan, Country Manager of Air India and Executive Committee Member of the forum, welcomed the attendees. Outgoing President Sabu Chandran expressed gratitude for the support received during his tenure and assured his continued involvement in the forum’s activities.
General Secretary Shaikh Saoud Yermal Udupi presented the forum’s annual report, outlining its achievements, including the KNT Season 4 cricket tournament and various social welfare initiatives benefiting Kannadigas in Jeddah and India. He also presented the certificate of acceptance from the Karnataka State Society Registrar Office after the successful submission of the audited financial reports for the term 2023-2024. He thanked outgoing Treasurer Mohammed Imran Bengaluru and outgoing Joint Treasurer Mohammed Ismail Bengaluru for their cooperation in maintaining financial records, as well as Shakeel Ahmed Bengaluru and internal auditors Nazir Ahmed Udupi and Rahim Rafeeq Ahmed Bengaluru for their role in financial oversight.
The election of the new executive committee was conducted under the supervision of election officers Dr. Ashfaq Maniyar Bijapura and Mohammed Mansoor Mangaluru. They urged the newly appointed members to work towards the welfare of Kannadigas.
The newly formed committee retained Sabu Chandran Bengaluru as President. Shaikh Saoud Yermal Udupi was re-elected as General Secretary. The committee also includes Vice Presidents Mohammed Arifullah Sharief Shivamogga and Dr. Ashfaque Maniyar Bijapura. Mohammed Ismail Bengaluru was elected as Treasurer, while Salim Huballi Belagavi took over as Joint Treasurer.
Other office bearers for 2025-2026 include Joint Secretary Sajid Iqbal Bengaluru, Cultural Secretary Mohammed Mansoor Mangaluru, Chief Coordinator Waseem Ahmed Maqbool Tumakuru, Joint Cultural Coordinators Rajesh Kumar Mangaluru and Mohammed Arshad Hussain Mangaluru, Sports Coordinator Mohammed Fayaz Malpe Udupi, Assistant Sports Coordinators Habib Rahman Udupi and Mohammed Irshad Sandi Belagavi, Press Coordinators Peter Ronald Mascarenhas Udupi and Qamruzaman Sada Uttara Kannada, Internal Auditor Raza Ali Khan Bengaluru, and Assistant Chief Coordinator Shakeel Ahmed Raichuru.
The Executive Committee Members include Mukarram Khan Bengaluru, Faize Abdul Razak Shaikh Mangaluru, Denis Noronha Udupi, Rahim Rafeeq Ahmed Bengaluru, Jerry Gomes Uttara Kannada, Suhail Malik Rayachuru, Mohammed Saifuddin Sami Mysore, Jalal Baig Hassana, Mohammed Imran Bengaluru, Athar Mustafa Davangere, Mohammed Shakeel Gulbarga, Khusro Ali Gulbarga, Syed Talib Hussain Koppal, Fazal Mohammed Mysuru, Imtiaz Ahmed Attar Belagavi, Vivian Rodrigues Mangaluru, Mohammed Asif Momin Uttara Kannada, Frank Dantis Mangaluru, and Mohammed Rafiullah Khan Mysuru.
The event was hosted by Peter Ronald Mascarenhas Udupi. Fun activities were also included to keep the audience engaged. The registration counter was managed by Mohammed Irshad Sandi Belagavi and Salim Huballi Belagavi.
A dinner was arranged by The Village Restaurant Aziziya Jeddah under the supervision of Jalal Baig Hassan. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Sajid Iqbal Ramnagara, who expressed appreciation for all participants and sponsors.
Established in April 2007, the Karnataka NRI Forum Jeddah is dedicated to the welfare of Kannadigas in Jeddah. The forum focuses on community service, cultural exchange, and maintaining a strong connection with Karnataka. The newly elected executive committee is expected to continue working towards these goals in the upcoming term.
