Dubai: Mangalore Konkans Dubai successfully organised a blood donation drive on August 31, 2025, at the DHA Blood Donation Center in Dubai. The event, held between 11 am and 2 pm, witnessed an overwhelming response with 96 donors and more than 100 participants joining for the noble cause.

The programme was attended by Stephan Menezes, President of Mangalore Konkans Dubai, James Mendonca, Executive Advisory Committee Member, Mr. Wilfred, owner of Wills Restaurant Dubai, Bala Salian, coordinator of blood donation camps in Dubai, and Sirajuddin Parladka, Chief Coordinator of Blood Helpline Karnataka.

A special felicitation was organised for Sirajuddin Parladka in recognition of his remarkable service as coordinator of Blood Helpline Karnataka (Regd.). He has been actively involved in blood donation initiatives across several districts in Karnataka and has also extended his efforts to the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Under his leadership, Blood Helpline Karnataka has been able to mobilise thousands of donors during emergencies, conduct numerous donation camps, and ensure timely support for patients in need. His tireless service has earned appreciation from the Dubai Health Authority, the Regional Blood Transfusion Center in Karnataka, the Kodagu Medical Science Institution, and several hospitals in both Karnataka and the UAE.
During the camp, donors were presented with goodie bags, and lunch was sponsored by Wills Restaurant, Silicon Oasis, Dubai.
Organisers described the blood donation drive not only as a successful event but also as a reminder of the power of compassion and collective effort. They emphasised that every drop of blood donated offers hope to someone in need, giving patients a chance to live, dream, and smile again.
Mangalore Konkans Dubai reiterated its commitment to continuing such initiatives and carrying forward the spirit of service by supporting those in need through community-driven efforts.
