Dubai: Representatives of the historic Moolur Jumma Masjid were felicitated at a community gathering in Dubai, where members of the overseas Moolur community expressed strong support for the ongoing mosque renovation project.

The program was jointly organised by Al Qamar Trust, Moolur, and the Moolur Jammath Welfare Forum (MJWF) on January 2, 2026 and presided by M.E.Moolur, the founder president of Al Qamer Welfare Trust and Advisor of Moolur Welfare Trust.
Held at Malik Restaurant’s banquet hall in Deira, the event saw the participation of a large number of Moolur natives residing across the UAE. The program was compered by Ikram Mohammed.





The event commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an by M.E. Usman, followed by a welcome address by Mohammed Zunaid. The felicitation address was delivered by M.E. Mohammed Sulaiman.
Al Qamar Trust President Naufal Muhammad and MJWF President Siraj Khadar briefed the gathering on their respective organisations’ objectives and activities, highlighting their coordinated efforts toward the renovation of the Moolur Jumma Masjid.

The keynote address was delivered by the M.E. Moolur, who spoke in detail about the renovation project, outlining the planning process, budget requirements, and strategies for timely completion.
Founder President of MJWF, Yusuf Ummar Haji in appreciated the the sincerity and dedication of the project committee and requested all to support their best.
The Founder Member of Al Qamar Trust, Fakeer Ahmed, conveyed their best wishes and expressed confidence in the successful completion of the project.


M.E. Usman also addressed the audience, explaining the purpose and mission of Al Qamar Trust in India.
The gathering honoured Mansoor Abdul Khadar, Chairman of the Moolur Jumma Masjid Renovation Project, and YBC Ahmed Bawa of Sirajul Islam Arabic Madrasa, Moolur. Mansoor Abdul Khadar presented an update on the renovation plans and progress achieved so far, while Ahmed Bawa highlighted the historical contributions of Al Qamar Trust to the masjid’s earlier construction and expressed hope for continued community support.
Comprehensive details regarding project planning, budget requirements, and timelines were shared with the audience, along with a 3D visual presentation of the proposed renovation. Organisers noted that the interactive session helped clarify the scope of the project and encouraged increased participation from overseas donors.
Several senior and respected community members were present, including Amanullah Ahmed, Abdul Hameed Mohammed Thota, Hamza Hamabba, Elyas Umar,, Abdul Hameed Umar, Suhaib Kareem, Rashid Mohammed, Shaban Abdul Razak, Shameem Ismail (IAR), Ismail Barood, Naushad Barood, Shameem Mohammed Barood, Abdul Rahiman Mohammed, Naveez Rajab, Jamal, Fahad Hameed, Ahmed Bawa, and Latif Moosabba, among others.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Ismail Baba, followed by dinner. Organisers described the event as a significant step toward mobilising resources and goodwill for the successful completion of the Moolur Jumma Masjid renovation project.
