May ‘globalkannadiga.comʼ reach all Non-Resident Kannadigas worldwide, address their issues: CM Siddaramaiah

CM launches the new website dedicated to Non-Resident Kannadigas

Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah while speaking at the inauguration of the innovative website ‘globalkannadiga.comʼ initiated by Vartha Bharati for Non-Resident Kannadigas, expressed hope that the newly launched website would serve as a platform to connect with Kannadigas across the globe and address their concerns.

“This website should reach Kannadigas living in every corner of the world. It should become a platform that unites them and responds to their difficulties and grievances,” Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said.

The event took place on Tuesday at the CM’s official residence, Krishna.

CM releases Vartha Bharati’s 22nd Anniversary edition

During the event, CM Siddaramaiah also released the 22nd-anniversary special edition of Vartha Bharati. He handed over the first copies to readers’ representatives Ambika Mandya and Manjunath Koppal.

In his address, the Chief Minister praised the publication, saying, “Vartha Bharati has been the voice of the voiceless and a medium that delivers truth to the people. Over 22 years, it has grown significantly, playing a pivotal role in providing factual information to the masses. I personally make it a point to read Vartha Bharati daily.”

“I am delighted to release the annual special edition of Vartha Bharati. Its articles highlight societal issues and evaluate whether the central and state governments are truly working for the people,” he said.

He emphasised the need for journalism to remain truthful and objective, adding, “Media must work towards addressing inequalities in society. Caste and social disparities still exist, and many are deprived of education. Vartha Bharathi has been a voice for these people and must continue its people-oriented and society-centric approach. A truly humane society is yet to be built, and we must strive for one where humanity prevails, and hatred is eradicated. Media should contribute to this vision.”
